It is close to Key West feel as you can in Long Island. Nice set up with plenty outdoor seating, music. Has clean bathroom and outdoor shower. Next to the beach, the food is good and not over priced. Other than the rocky sands and brown color ocean you would really think you are in key west...Can't fix long island beaches..,

Great hidden spot right on the beach. Perfect place to grab a breakfast sandwich or omelet to enjoy by the water. Or stay for lunch and try the baked crab while enjoyed a beer.

You need to be a town resident during summer season. Love this place and the restaurant KEY WEST they have some refreshing drinks and some tasty food. They have grill on the other side so you can BBQ and the beach is right there don’t need to walk miles to jump in the water

We really enjoyed ourselves! The atmosphere was peaceful and of course the day we were there the Sun was shining so you almost got the feeling you were somewhere out in the Caribbean. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding!

[I am re-writing this review because my editing skills are sub-par when falling asleep with my finger hitting the delete button. Hence, the entire review was lost, but not all of the pictures.]There is live music here on Thursday nights except on those days when the musicians are not here. The food has greatly improved with more healthy options added to the fried foods and grilled hamburgers. The deck is groomed with palm trees and shade umbrellas at the tables. From where you are seated, looking across the bay, you see Fire Island, and the Robert Moses Causeway bridge.A wind barrier protects you at the west end of the deck when Mother Nature is trying to get your attention at this more enclosed (on three sides) seating area with tables and chairs. The beach is considerably smaller than it once once due to our last hurricane. Swimming inside the ropes while the child lifeguards are on duty is an extreme bore because the water is about waist to shoulder high for adults. Parents, watch your children and do not rely solely on the young lifeguards to protect your kids. The real attraction is sitting in the gazebo feeling bored but trying to look excited...or cool (which is very hard to pull off if you are sixty). Forget your appearance, wife with kids, and sand in your face (momentarily), and go for a feeling of euphoria with the restaurant's tropical intoxications on the rocks. Ah, that's better. Cool. Water beading in little droplets on the outside of the cup. Wife comes by stating she and the kids are ready to go home now. You don't hear her because you have had five tropical thingys within ninety minutes and you think someone stole your ears. "Oh waitwess! Yeth hi. Please keep deese twopical thingys coming. Thank you berry much!"Yeah, create your own paradise on a budget. You don't need to go to the real Key West where the dress code is a skimpy Speedo.Sunset is a pleasant pit stop when cycling long-distance and you divert south to the water's edge. The atmosphere is quite relaxing and well worth the trip.

Fab summer outdoor beach dining located at Islip Beach. It has menu items one would never expect at a beach venue. Alcohol by the pitcher avaliable

A great local getaway! A weekend visit or on your weekday lunch break... drive down, eat your lunch while enjoying the cool breeze and pretty waves. Bring the kids to enjoy the playground area. Cute Tiki Bar/Restaurant, Outdoor Deck, Outdoor Showers and Plenty of Seating, Tables, Benches and Gazebo for a shady retreat. Stop by and take a look if you're in the Islip area, just off downtown Main Street, South all the way to the end.
